Just a simple talk with my doctor (whom I really really like, she's so funny!) I didn't have an ultrasound or anything, she just put her little heart beat finder thing up to my belly so we could hear it. Which I love doing because I forget my baby is like 4 inches now, very weird. I shouldn't be forgetting though, my little belly is perfect reminder of that!

Anyway, I set up a date for my gender Ultrasound and it's on Dec.2nd! A little less than 3 weeks away :) I'm so exicted. I tried to do it the day before Thanksgiving but the earliest they would let me is on Thanksgiving, and I don't think they could do it that day. Oh well! 19 weeks will be prefect timing. This kid better not cross it's legs!

I still don't quite have an inkling as to what it is. If I had to say it was something, I think I'd say it's a girl...but like I've said before, I don't know. I don't care. Either one is going to be so fun! I just want to start buying stuff! It's going to be so much funner for us when we know, I can't wait!

Ok stay tuned!

14 Weeks- 2nd Trimester!

There are a few new things that are happening to me. I will list them:

I have to pee every hour. Really bad. And when I do, it's just a tiny bit.

My nausea has finally subsided! I'm not sick every second of the day!

I am having headaches lately though :(

My clothes are uncomfortable and I hate wearing anything besides sweats. My belly popped out a little and not my jeans won't zip up. Sad. I bought a bella band to hold my pants up while unbuttoned. Lots more comfortable.

I keep having dreams about the gender of the baby but it's boy and girl dreams. I have no idea what this little person is, but I don't care. I just want it to be a baby, which will probably happen.

I get to find out the gender at the end of November or beginning of December. I hope they'll just let me find out right before Thanksgiving.

I want Thanksgiving Dinner so bad... you have no idea.

I feel so brain dead lately. When I talk the words don't come out right. I struggle.

Next appointment: November 11th

I miss food.

Hey. I feel like I haven't blogged in forever! Well, I had my first REAL doctor's appointment on the 14th (that other one was just to check for birth defects and stuff, I didn't even meet my doctor). But yeah, it wasn't anything too awesome. Dr.Brown is a super cute lady, she is just a ball of energy and is really nice so I'm glad I did some research and chose her. Plus my Mom likes her too, so that's good!

It's wasn't too eventful, she just poked around- gave me lots of info and a gift bag with all these baby magazines and a helpful pregnancy book. She did an ultrasound but it wasn't nearly as cool as the first one I got though. The first one was shown to us on this big plasma TV and the resolution was like 10x better. But it's cool :) I still got to see the baby again which I like.

But I'm confused because then she changed my due date to April 28th. I'll probably just have it on April 25th (My sister Emily's Birthday) I think that would be funny. Soo... I don't really know how far along I am but I will just off of what the baby is measuring by and so that means today I am 12 weeks 5 days.

Ugh! I can't wait to enter my 2nd Trimester! I'm hoping that I'll want to eat a lot and that I won't be picky because I really struggle right now. It's really hard for me to eat a meal. I haven't ate until I'm full in like 3 months. I miss the foods that are temporarily making me gag. We shall soon reunite.... I hope.

I'm SO excited for Thanksgiving. You don't even know.

First Ultrasound!

Yay! I got my first ultrasound today along with my integrated screening! I was so excited that I couldn't fall asleep last night, which says a lot because usually I'm out like that. Of course Scotty came with me. We really like the Women's Center I'll be going to and having the baby at. It is at the new hospital in Murray.

Anyway, we got to hear the heartbeat and all that fun jazz. Scotty thought that was pretty awesome. They needed to get a profile shot of the babe to measure the neck and the fluid around it or something, but it wouldn't budge! So after trying for like 20 minutes the ultrasound tech left the room for a minute, I got up, poked around, laid on my side etc. But when she tried again the baby just turned the opposite direction we needed it. But it's ok, they said they feel confident and the baby is measuring just fine.

I'm excited to go back on Wednesday so I can meet my doctor and do it all over again for my first appointment. Here is the first picture! PROOF that there really is a baby inside of me and that I'm not hysterical! Good day :)

DUE DATE: APRIL 23,2010

Update 11w5d

So I have a little bit of news:

I forgot that there were some standard tests that my doctor recommded I do before my first appointment (next Wednesday!) So I remembered and called up the women's center and they were all like blahh! Come in this week because it needs to be done asap! So I go in on Friday which is my 12 week mark and they are going to do an ultrasound at that time as well. I'm really excited!

The test is called an "Intergrated Screening" so they just take my blood and test for anything birth defects on the baby so I'm hoping everything turns out just fine!

I am positive that my waist line is thicker. It's just uncomfortable wearing most of my clothes. It's better if I unbotton my jeans! But the thing that I like is that I still have not gained any weight. But that is all in good time... I know it's going to catch up with me in a couple of months!

Oh yeah and yesterday I took Scotty to work in the morning for the first time since being pregnant. NEVER AGAIN. I get car sick easily anyway but when I was driving back I had to pull over and puke by the Jungle Jim's dumpster. Awesoooome! That was the first time I ever threw up in the morning so I guess thats pretty good eh? eh?

But then I was sick all day after that. We were suppose to get our carpets cleaned but I had to turn them away because I was sick and then I ended up calling into work because if I would have stepped into the car again I swear I would have hacked while driving on the freeway. So it has not been that fun lately. But I'm ready for some new excitement on Friday and then again next Wednesday when I have my first appointment!

That will be all.

Ok now I'm REALLY 10 weeks.

Ok now that I have my weeks straight again we're good to go! I'm not feeling as good as I was, thats for sure! I still only have the one time that I've puked but I'm nauseated most of the time. It sucks! I went and bought these little candies called Preggie Pops and its just a natural yummy tasting candy that helps nausea go away. So those have worked pretty well!

And I didn't think it was possible but I feel more tired than ever! So exhausted. I try to keep doing what I normally do despite my fatigue, and I'm able to- but it's just the nauseated part that brings me back down. But shoot I'm not complaining- it's great so far! I'm pretty sure it's suppose to be a zillion times worse right now!

3 more weeks til my dr. appointment. Woohoo! It will be cool to see the whats going on because sometimes I don't believe that I'm really pregnant because it has just been really uneventful. However I think in about a month from now things should start picking up!

Oh and remember how I was like- "Oh I can eat a lot now!" False. I cannot. Now all the sudden I can hardly eat anything before I start gagging. I eat very slow and chew for a very long time....which in turn, makes me want to gag even more. I got a pint of Blood Orange Gelato that I've been working on for a few days though. It's tasty!

Miscalcuation.

So I don't know how I miscalculated this, because I have probably counted the weeks on the calendar about a bazillion time since I found out but, I'm 9 weeks. Not 10. No big dealio. Also I thought I would be 20 weeks on Christmas Day. Not sure how I counted that either because I was waaaaaaay off! I'll be 20 weeks on December 4th so hopefully that can be the week I find out what sex this little dragon is going to be. Woot woot!

So far I've hard people say "I know it's going to be a girl, I'm never wrong!" or "I know it's going to be a boy! I've never been wrong!" oh and from our dear Josh "I can't quite put my finger on it but it's a girl and a boy. Twins." Uh... no comment!

10 Weeks

Ok well technically I'm not 10 weeks until tomorrow. But whatever.

Anyway, this week I have felt my body change/work alot! It's kinda weird. First of all umm... the chestal area? Ow. Kinda hurts. It's not like the normal hurt before it's like inside. Does that make sense?

I also puked my guts out a few nights ago for the very first time. It made me feel lots better. I get nauseated quite a bit which sucks. I would rather throw up than be nauseated! But it's not too intense so it's all good!

Oh and I get hungry fast, like starvation mode! And when I eat, I finish whats on my plate. Even large meals! That rarely happens! Scotty and his sister Sarah always give me crap about not eating very much- ha! Not anymore suckas!

Oh and I guess my ligaments are stretching. I looked it up. I have been having odd pains in my belly tonight. It almost feels like getting shocked....it's so weird. Anyway, nothing to freak out about so Gumby me up! Get it? Because Gumby stretches?

Pregnancy is cool! I wish I just had an obvious prego belly though. Having a person inside of you is really weird. I can't feel it, but it's weird. I'm sure it will blow my mind when I can feel it. And when Scotty feels it? I think he'll be like 10x more excited than he already is.

9 weeks

Still feeling pretty good! I'm not AS tired as I was a couple weeks ago, so that's nice. But I seem to be more nauseated and crappy feeling before 9:30am. Luckily, I work nights most of the time so I usually get to sleep in! But yeah, I still haven't thrown up. I can't really eat tons though- my gag reflexes kick in half way through meals, so it's been tough to eat as much as I should!

But the baby doesn't look so much like a dragon anymore! It has fingers and toes which is pretty cool. I swear I felt something weird the other day- but I'm probably crazy to think I can feel something the size of a large olive flutter inside me just yet. I guess I'm just anxious!

Also, I was having 2nd thoughts about the doctor and hospital I chose (Dr.Melissa Brown at the new hospital in Murray. The tall one off of 53rd S.) and since we may be moving back to North Salt Lake in February I was thinking of going to a closer hospital. But I read a bunch of reviews online and it doesn't seem like many people were impressed with LDS hospital and there were just tons of good things said about Dr.Brown, so I'll stick with her! My appointment isn't until Oct.14th (did I already say that?) so I'll be 13 weeks before I can be seen. But I'm ok with that :)

Ok. That's all I have to update for now! I'll post pictures when I actually have something interesting to show you.

Blaaaah.

I just want to reiterate my worst symptom.

Fatigue.

I have never had less energy in my life! I'm going to start doing my Yoga video in the mornings from now on. I haven't thrown up at all (yet!) but I do get nauseated sometimes after I eat and when I wake up early in the morning. And I'm so tired, I have taken a nap, during the day, everyday, for about the past 3 weeks. Humm... now I know why!

I can feel that spots below my belly are a little firmer. Oh, and I can be an emotional wreck lately! Poor Scotty, things that I use to pout or frown over, now send me into a full out sob! I have sobbed/cried really hard maybe like 2-3 times in the nearly 3 years we've been married. But the past couple of weeks, I believe the count is up to 3 already. And it's over really stupid things that normal people don't have nervous breakdowns over! But Scotty is a champion. Usually he likes to lecture to try and fix it, but he's just been letting me cry and has given me sympathy-- smart man!

A couple of changes that I have made since we found out is that I do not/cannot eat fast food. We probably ate it way too much before- but the thought of a burger or sandwich makes me gag. I also haven't drank any soda, I just don't want to. Plus, I'm almost positive it will make me feel awful. I've lost 4 lbs, but I've been eating a bunch- its not like I'm on a diet of salads or anything but I'm sure I'll start the gain pretty soon. My clothes getting a little more snug, but nothing I can't fit into!

That's all for this first update, look for another one soon!
